Yamaha Launches The Latest Motocross WR450F 2024 With Significant Updates

JAKARTA - Yamaha officially released its newest motocross model, namely WR450F 2024 by bringing a number of significant updates to the motorcycle.

Reporting from Rideapart, Thursday, September 14, Yamaha WR450F received a refresher by presenting the latest suspension from KYB. Yamaha complements this motorbike with 11.8 inches on the front and 12 inches on the back. Interestingly, this motocross is also equipped with an adjustable compression damping adjustment without the need for additional equipment.

In an effort to improve control on motorbikes, Yamaha also moved the pipe head connection to the framework by lowering it by about 15 mm. This makes the frame rail and handle pipe lower, providing a better user experience.

The characteristics of this motorbike are also considered by designing more compact fuel frames and tanks, as well as shorter exhausts.

Yamaha is also making serious efforts in reducing component weights, including changes to rear wheels hubs, updated rear brakes systems, and other lighter components. Yamaha claims to have succeeded in reducing four pounds or 1.8 kg from the previous model weight.

The WR450F 2024 also comes with a new airflow management system on the body, resulting in a slimmer sheath with a width of only 500 mm. The flatter seat with the rounder edge makes the movement of the rider easier.

The Garputala logo manufacturer also brings in several other updates such as new selip plates, the latest switchgear, the latest multifunctional meter, and updated rear spatbors.

Not only on the display side, the 2024 WR450F also features a 4-tak DOHC liquid-cooled 450cc engine with 4 titanium valves. This means that WR450F has the same engine as TZ450F by optimizing relief and resilience.

This motorbike will be available in the US with one color choice, namely Team Yamaha Blue. WR450F 2024 will be sold for around 10,199 US dollars or around Rp156.7 million. For motocross lovers, this motorbike will be available through the dealers' network in November 2023.
