Want To Buy An Electric Car? This Is An EV Model With A Price Below IDR 400 Million In Indonesia

The country's automotive industry is currently being colored by a series of electric vehicle (EV) models at varying prices. In fact, consumers can now have EVs at affordable prices.

Meanwhile, the latest news from Wuling Motors is rumored to be expanding the ranks of electric vehicles (EVs) for the Indonesian market by presenting hotspots. This model previously showed its appearance at the 2023 Periclindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) in May.

This news is further strengthened by the information listed on the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) website, which shows that the Motor Vehicle Selling Value (NKJB) contains information about this model with the code E206REV presented with many types.

The data also reveals the figures 30KW and 50KW which may indicate the output of their electric motorbikes. In addition, there are also 203, 333 and 410 codes that are similar to the specifications of the travel distance.

Wuling itself has launched hotspots in China with a distance of 410 km, and other variants with a distance of 203 km and 333 km. This car is offered at an attractive price starting from IDR 126 million for the lowest variant, and also IDR 178 million for a distance of 333 km.

But how much is the price if you enter Indonesia? Of course it will be interesting to wait.

It is known that the two cheapest EV models currently available on the market are Wuling Air EV, with prices ranging from Rp206 million for the Lite variant, to the highest type which reaches Rp299.5 million, and Seres E1 which is priced at Rp189 million for type B and Rp219 million for type L.

In addition to the EV segment with prices below IDR 300 million, the EV market below IDR 400 million also enlivens the automotive industry in Indonesia. There are two competing models in this segment, namely Neta V and Citroen e-C3.

Neta V

Neta V was introduced in Indonesia at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in August 2023. During the exhibition, Neta Indonesia introduced a series of its products that received warm welcome from visitors.

With a compact design, this electric car is equipped with a 16-inch rim and 130mm ground clearance, allowing cars to travel in various terrain conditions with the best performance.

In terms of performance, Neta V has an electric drive capable of producing 70 kW of power and 150 Nm of torque. The electric motor is powered by a battery with a capacity of 40.7 kWh which allows the car to cover a distance of 384 km according to NEDC or 401 km according to the CLTC cycle.

With all the sophistication and features that make driving experience easier, Neta V is sold at prices starting from Rp379,000,000 (on the road Jakarta), which remains the same since it was first introduced at GIIAS 2023.

Citroen e-C3

Just like Neta V, Citroen e-C3 was introduced to the public in the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The presence of the crossover also emphasized the commitment of this French company in bringing more EVs to Indonesia.

With a compact size, e-C3 comes with a four-seater configuration. This car is equipped with a 57-dk electric motor and a 143-Nm torque, allowing it to reach its highest speed of up to 107 km/hour.

With a battery with a capacity of 29.2 kWh, Citroen e-C3 is able to cover a distance of up to 320 km in full battery conditions. During the event at GIIAS 2023, this model is priced at IDR 395 million on the Jakarta OTR.
