This North America's Best Selling Pickup Truck Comes With New Technology And Fresh Look

JAKARTA - At the opening ceremony of the North American International Detroit Auto Show 2023, Ford presented Ford F-150 2024 at an event packaged attractively.

Ford again gave a fresh touch to its flagship pickup truck, F-150, with various interesting changes. One of the most striking recent changes is the presence of a cool new backdoor.

It is known, the F-Series has won the title of the best-selling truck in America for 46 consecutive years. For the first time, the F-Series will be equipped with a heads-up display screen, and will be the first in North America to offer lost vehicle tracking services.

"100% of F-Series trucks are made in America." said John Emmert, General Manager of Ford Trucks, September 12.

The previous base engine, which is a 3.3 liter V6 engine, has been completely replaced with a 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 engine, a twin-turbo unit that produces 325 dk and 544 Nm torque (compared with 290 dk and 359 Nm torque from the previous 3.3 liter engine).

The rest of the engine lines remain unchanged, ranging from 2.7 liters of EcoBoost to 3.5 liters of EcoBoost, 3.5 liters of PowerBoost found in the hybrid variant, Raptor's High Output 3.5 liters, 5.0 liters of V8 engine, to Raptor R's supercharged 5.2 liter engine which peaked.

Interestingly, Ford Blue Cruise is also offered to F-150 2024 customers. Now, F-150 subscribers can try it after a free trial for 90 days and then be able to activate it by charging it on an annual basis or monthly basis as needed.

Ford BlueCruise 1.2 also has new capabilities such as Lane Change Assist which can make hands-free lane changes by simply tapping the sein and In-Lane Repositioning lights to help adjust the vehicle's position.

Ford also said sales of hybrid variant trucks had increased 28.1% in the first half of this year, and 10% of all sold F-150 were hybrid, so Ford plans to double the number of hybrid trucks produced for the 2024 model.
