After Its Debut In Europe And Marketed In Australia, Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Returns Home

JAKARTA - After making its European debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​2023 last July, Hyundai brought the high-performance electric car Ioniq 5 N home to South Korea and will soon market it there.

In its home country, Hyundai prices the Ioniq 5 N 76 million won or around Rp. 875 million, which includes tax, reported Yonhap, Monday, September 4.

The Ioniq 5 N is the flagship product of Hyundai's N division, which is known for its high-performance models. This car was built with three main pillars in its development: Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar.

In terms of appearance, the Ioniq 5 N has a striking difference from the standard version. The N Division added several elements to enhance the sportiness, such as the striking black trim and the rear wing which was designed to enhance the vehicle's aerodynamics.

Not only appearance, the N division also revised several key components to ensure this car delivers maximum performance. This includes refined suspension setup, optimized aerodynamic components and improvements to the regenerative braking system to reduce weight.

The Ioniq 5 N also comes with large aluminum rims, which are 21 inches, which are equipped with high-end tires, Pirelli P Zero 275/35R2, for impressive traction.

However, a significant increase occurred in the engine. The Ioniq 5 N is equipped with a dual electric engine that produces 600 hp of power and reaches 748 Nm of torque. With the active N Grin Boost feature, this power can increase up to 641 hp and torque up to 770 Nm.

With this power, the Ioniq 5 N can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 260 km/h.

Hyundai has also provided this car with a new battery pack with a capacity of 84 kWh, which allows the vehicle to cover a distance of up to 350 km on just one battery charge.

Not only that, ultra-fast charging technology is also presented. The Ioniq 5 N can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

The Ioniq 5 N also features special features such as N e-shift and N Active Sound+, which add an extra dimension to the driving experience.

Before South Korea, the Ioniq 5 N was first marketed in Australia. For the Australian market, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is priced at 111,000 Australian dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 1.094 billion, making it the most expensive Hyundai car ever.
