AMG EQE SUV 2024, New High Performance Electric SUV From Mercedes-Benz

JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz continues to strengthen the electric vehicle segment (EV) through a series of EQ models released in various parts of the world. One of the markets that is Mercedes' main focus is the United States (US).

The German manufacturer has just introduced its electric SUV, the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV 2024, as part of an effort to expand the reach of their electric vehicles. This electric SUV model was first introduced in October 2022 along with a non-AMG version, and received a positive response to its impressive performance.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is placed between the EQC model and the EQS SUV. Basically, this car is an SUV version of the EQE sedan. Despite aspects of the sedan, the EQE SUV also features a number of interesting features.

Reporting from InsideEV on Tuesday, August 1, specifically for the AMG variant, the 2024 EQE SUV offers AMG Ride Control+ which includes an air suspension with adaptive damping. In addition, the SUV is equipped with features such as an active rear steering system, a Digital Light headlights, and an MBUX infotainment system with a 12.3-inch driver screen, a 17.7-inch midscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen.

The interior of the car is also enhanced by Nappa's layer of skin covering the entire area, as well as standard packages such as the 3D Burmester surround sound system and panoramic sunset for convenience.

Given that this is a model developed by the AMG division, its performance is certainly stunning. The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV carries a pair of electric motors in each wheel, with an all-wheel drive system, generating up to 617 dk of power and 950 Nm of torque.

However, there is a higher option option, namely AMG Dynamic Plus, which adds 60 dk of power and 50 Nm of torque. With this option, the EQE SUV is able to emit a maximum of up to 677 dk of power and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm.

In the power department, Mercedes equips this car with a 90.6 kWh lithium-ion battery which provides an electric distance of up to 550 km when the battery is fully charged.

For the US market, AMG EQE SUV 2024 can be ordered at prices starting from 110,450 US dollars or around Rp1.6 billion, including shipping costs.

For those who want exclusive impressions from Mercedes-Benz, there is a trim Pinnacle variant that presents a number of unique features that are not available in the standard variant. These features include augmented videos for navigation, head-up display with a special AMG concept, four-zone climate control, active ambient lighting, and USB packages with multiple ports.

Trim Pinnacle also presents special features such as an AMG animated logo projector near the door and Air Balance, cabin air cleaning system with charcoal filters and ionization, as well as aroma dispensers to change the aroma in the cabin.

The price for the trim Pinnacle variant is priced at around 113,750 US dollars or around Rp. 1.7 billion.
