Visinema Proud Of 24 Hour Films With Gaspar And Ali Topan Will Show At BIFF

JAKARTA - The production house Visinema Pictures announced that their two latest films will premiere at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). The two films are 24 Hours with Gaspar directed by Yosep Anggi Noen and Ali Topan directed by Sidharta Tata.

24 Hours Together with Gaspar became an Indonesian film that competed in the Kim Ji Seok Award category, the most prestigious category at BIFF. Ali Topan, starring Jefri Nichol, will conduct a world premiere at the festival.

"It's always a matter of pride for myself. Almost all of my films go to the festival first and then to the Indonesian audience. Next, the festival is a storefront to watch what is drained and of course the filmmaker can display their work," said Yosep Anggi Noen in the Visinema Goes To Busan session today, Thursday, September 7, 2023.

The two films from Visinema are also expected to be a place for Indonesian filmmakers to shine on the international stage.

We feel the need to celebrate there are 2 films in the prestigious category and different approaches. Our Gaspar film in collaboration with Kawan Kawan Media and Yosep Anggi Noen is considered an established director. We are collaborating with Kebun Studio for Ali Topan and emerging filmmaker Sidharta Tata," said Angga Dwimas Sasongko as Founder of Visinema.

The 24 Hours with Gaspar film tells the story of Gaspar (played by Reza Rahadian), having plans to carry out a big robbery, namely a mysterious box in Wan Ali's gold shop. Not alone, he recruited several people to launch this action.

Ali Topan tells the story of Ali Topan (played by Jefri Nichol), a street boy who gets to know Anna Karenina (Lutesha) from a respected family. Falling in love, Ali Topan fights for his blessing to get Anna.

In addition to competing in BIFF, Visinema has not announced the release date of 24 Hours with Gaspar and Ali Topan in Indonesian cinemas.
