JAKARTA - Today's film We Will Tell You Later (HIAKCN) will be the closing of the franchise Later We'll Tell About Today (NKCTHI). Different from the previous films, this film tells two stories and two points of view.

One of those points of view is the story of young Narendra (Jourdy Pranata) and Ajeng (Yunita Siregar). The story that was shown was the conflict between the parents of Angkasa, Aurora, and Awan before they had their three children.

"I'm really happy. It's an honor and pride to be able to sit here with the actors," said Jourdy Pranata today, Wednesday, July 26.

"I remember watching NKCTHI with my family and crying together," recalled Jourdy, who finally joined this franchise.

The characters Narendra and Ajeng were played by Donny Damara and Susan Bachtiar and Oka Antara and Niken Anjani in the previous franchise. Jourdy and Yunita played Narendra and young Ajeng who first met in 1987.

"For young Narendra, we were told to pull back so it's not a matter of developing but we create. It's hard not because there are expectations from existing characters and it's easy to give slices to characters," said Jourdy Pranata.

"In our time, Narendra created a family to destroy the breakthrough or order that is currently maintaining, providing experience at a young age," explained Jourdy Pranata.

"As Ajeng, I have more discussions with Angga (Dwimas Sasongko). The jet played by Aunt Susan and Niken is different but we are more present, more fun, warm," said Yunita Siregar.

Angga Sasongko feels that the HIAKCN film is actually a place for the characters to determine their role. Because this film is a kind of prequel from all stories in the NKCTHI universe.

"I said (to Jourdy - Yunita) you don't have to worry about Donny, Oka, Susan and others because your character is 25-30 years old before now it's just starting to become a character," said Angga Sasongko.

In terms of the story, Rusli Eddy of Netflix admits the NKCTHI franchise is one of the simple franchises with a lot of complexity.

"Films from the world of NKCTHI are interesting because they rarely take realistic but dysfunctional pictures of the family world. That's what makes this universe interesting," said Rusli Eddy.

Today's film We'll Tell You Later (HIAKCN) will be released on July 27, 2023 on Netflix.
