Exclusive Contract Breaks, Chen, Baekhyun, And Xiumin EXO Apologize To Fans

JAKARTA - Three members of EXO: Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin submitted a contract termination to SM Entertainment. This request relates to the lack of transparency in the reports they submitted seven times.

Through their lawyer, Lee Jae Hak, the three members asked for an exclusive contract termination. Chen and Xiumin, who have signed a contract extension at the end of 2022, are now applying for a contract termination.

They explained that this could have an impact and experience other SM artists. Therefore, they hope that this contract submission will be the beginning of clarity on the rights they should receive.

This submission was submitted because SM did not provide the transparency report they asked for. According to them, if SM pays the settlement, then they should be able to provide the report.

In a statement released by Lee Jae Hak and law firms of LIN, Chen Baekhyun and Xiumin also made several statements to their fans called EXO-L.

"We apologize for causing concern to fans through this case and there is no way to express our full apologies," three members said in a statement represented by Lee Jae Hak.

"Although legal action was inevitable due to differences in the company's position with SM, we will do our best to find ways to resolve this conflict so that we don't make fans even more worried," they continued.

"As we try to speak with our voices about the injustice we cannot talk about, we are actually afraid and worried about this moment," he said.

Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin are currently active as EXO members and are also solo. Recently Chen was confirmed to have released a Japanese solo album and went on tour, Baekhyun appeared on several events, and Xiumin with several acting projects.
