Attorney General: Never Play With Cases
AMBON - Attorney General ST Burhanuddin reminded the ranks of the Prosecutor's Office in the provinces and regencies of the city to always maintain public trust in institutions and prioritize integrity and dedication in their work.
"Until now, the prosecutor's office is still a law enforcement agency that is trusted by the public, according to a survey by Indonesian Political Indicators, the level of public trust reaches 75.1 percent, this must be maintained," said the Attorney General, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 21.
In the virtual arena, which was attended by Kajati Maluku Agoes S Prasetyo together with Wakajati I Gede Ngurah Sriada and the ranks of the Indonesian Attorney General ST Burhanuddin gave a number of directions and emphasis on improving the performance of the Adhyaksa ranks.
The virtual account activity carries the theme 'Caring for Public Trust with Consistency Strengthening Integrity and Dedication' in order to evaluate all Adhyaksa people in carrying out their duties according to the rules,
According to the Attorney General, the level of public trust that has been achieved is the result of the hard work of all Adhyaksa people in carrying out their duties and functions.
Therefore, the Attorney General emphasized that this achievement does not make the ranks proud and careless, but rather needs to be consistent in upholding integrity and dedication as the main factor.
In addition, it was also conveyed that there is also increasing negative news about the prosecutor's office. One of them is about the incident in Bondowoso which has brought anger and disappointment.
In this regard, the Attorney General emphasized that integrity should be the minimum standard that must be owned by every Adhyaksa person and make this a habit.
"I instruct all personnel to make this incident a whip for self-introspection. Stop all attempts to try to get closer to a disgraceful act that will tarnish the good name of the personal, family and institution," said the Attorney General.
The Attorney General emphasized that he would not hesitate in imposing sanctions, both administration and criminal, to anyone who is still trying to commit a disgraceful act, because it is better to sacrifice one person than to sacrifice one institution.
Furthermore, the Attorney General emphasized the importance of increasing inherent supervision in work units.
Regarding this, the Attorney General has issued a General Letter of the Attorney General Number: R-3/A/SUJA/01/2022 concerning Increasing Supervision Attached to the Work Unit.

Given that the Prosecutor's authority is very large, this authority must be utilized properly and responsibly and most importantly is beneficial to the community.
"Never play with cases or interventions in the procurement of goods and services. Therefore, for job unit leaders, Kajati and Kajari must immediately carry out mitigation of prevention of abuse of the authority of their members, especially this is the end of the fiscal year which is prone to irregularities," he said.
Then regarding the pattern of social interactions that have now transformed towards digital, the Attorney General repeatedly reminded him to be wise in responding, especially in using social media to use it as an institutional naming.
"Don't let bad news involving the good name of the institution go viral. This is indeed an irony, but don't let bad things that tarnish the good name of the institution become the object of the dissemination carried out by ourselves," said the Attorney General.
Therefore, the Attorney General does not tire of reminding all Adhyaksa personnel to follow the Attorney General's Instruction Number 1 of 2021 regarding the publication of positive performance and news regarding prosecutors in the mass media and social media.
