1 Member Of The Parungpanjang Police And 1 PPA Of The Bogor Police Satreskrim Was Removed In The Aftermath Of The 'Cueki' Report Of Domestic Violence

JAKARTA - The Bogor Resort Police (Polres) removed the positions of two of its non-professional members serving reports of victims of domestic violence (KDRT) female initials M, a resident of Parungpanjang, Bogor Regency.

"It has been transferred, it has become one of the punishments for non-professional personnel," said Bogor Deputy Chief of Police, Kompol Fitra Zuanda during a press conference at the Police Headquarters, Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java, Monday, November 20, which was confiscated by Antara.

The two members who were subject to the sanctions were one member of the Parungpanjang Police and one member of the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim).

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro also apologized for the incident that had been widely circulated on social media.

"As the Bogor Police Chief, I apologize for what our members did. I will carry out my duties optimally and I will still be open to all input from all levels of society," he said.

Rio also thanked one of the residents who had shared M's story on social media to the attention of many parties.

"I would like to thank brother H who went viral that there are still members of the Bogor Resort Police who are less professional than our members in carrying out their duties," said Rio.

The Bogor Police then arrested M's husband with the initials IJ (58) a suspect in domestic violence after being declared on the wanted list (DPO) three days ago.

The suspect, IJ, a resident of Bunar Village, Parungpanjang, Bogor Regency, was arrested while fleeing at his family's residence, around Cakung, East Jakarta.

IJ was reported by M on suspicion of domestic violence. IJ hit M while sleeping on November 14, 2023 because he was jealous after hearing the news that his wife had an affair.
