Need Quality Improvement Of Hospitals In The Thousand Islands, Regent: Many Residents Are Not Helped When Referred To The Ground

JAKARTA - The Regent of the Thousand Islands, Junaedi, explained the reason why his party needed to improve the quality of hospitals in his area. So far, regional public hospital services (RSUD) are only located on Pramuka Island. The hospital also has low quality health services. Thus, many residents of the Thousand Islands were referred to city-city hospitals in Jakarta, such as North Jakarta."Yes, it actually has to be improved from what is already there (on Pramuka Island) because many residents of Pulau Seribu when referred to hospitals on land, it cannot be helped because of the lack of specialist doctors (in the Thousand Islands), for example," Junaedi told reporters, Monday, November 20.That is why Junaedi proposed a budget allocation to the DKI Jakarta Health Office in the 2024 APBD to build a new hospital to improve its quality in the Thousand Islands."The lack of facilities for health is still less than on land. So the hospital must first be increased," said Junaedi.Junaedi said the Thousand Islands Regency Government had prepared a land area of 5 thousand square meters on Karya Island. The DKI Health Office has also conducted a field review before construction begins.Possibly, the existing hospital on Pramuka Island will be used as a health center when the new hospital on Karya Island is already operating."It could be made into a puskesmas. It's not far away, it only uses a boat for a maximum of 10 minutes," he said.Previously, the Regent of the Thousand Islands Administration, Junaedi, admitted that public health services in his area were still not optimal. The Jakarta archipelago area is known to only have a type D Hospital. Type RSUD on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Village is only in the same class as the inpatient health center.
This was revealed by Junaedi in a meeting to discuss the draft APBD for the 2024 fiscal year with the DKI Jakarta DPRD. “ Currently we only have a type D RSUD, which I want to increase to Type C," said Juanedi some time ago.On that basis, Junaedi admitted that the Thousand Islands Regency Government had proposed to finance the construction of additional hospitals so that public health services could be further improved."I have proposed and we have prepared the land on Karya Island,” said Junaedi.
