How to Register for Regular Hajj via Pegadaian
For people who want to perform the regular Hajj pilgrimage, registration can be done through Pegadaian. In this regard, Pegadaian recommends that prospective Hajj pilgrims make an initial deposit, namely by opening a Hajj Pilgrimage Savings Account (RTJH) and registering for the Hajj portion program at Bank Muamalat.
Hajj savings customers at Bank Muamalat will have the opportunity to get Hajj Arrum facilities from Pegadaian.
The President Director of PT Pegadaian Damar Latri Setiawan also explained that the sharia financing product for the hajj portion or Arrum Haji can be used by people who want to get their hajj portion more quickly through sharia financing through the rahn contract scheme.
How to apply for financing for the Pegadaian portion of the Hajj is quite easy, people just need to submit Hajj documents with gold collateral, both jewelry and precious metals, or it can also be a Pegadaian Gold Savings balance with a value of 3.5 to be able to register for the regular Hajj portion.
After that, the customer chooses BPS-BPIH which has collaborated with Pegadaian. After that, the process will continue with the Arrum Haji transaction agreement which will be held at the Pegadaian outlet in accordance with the financing requirements.
If the financing process is approved, the customer will carry out a validation process at the selected sharia bank. Customers will also register for the Hajj portion at the local Ministry of Religion.
While waiting in line for the Hajj pilgrimage, customers are required to pay monthly installments. Transactions themselves can be carried out at all Pegadaian outlets, Pegadaian Agent Channels, or via the Pegadaian Digital application where the transaction process is carried out online.
"The collaboration with Bank Muamalat will increase the bank's choice of opening a Hajj savings account which will be used for Hajj Arrum transactions. Of course, this collaboration can also further maximize the performance of both parties' products in organizing the Hajj pilgrimage," explained Damar.
It should also be noted that Pegadaian Syariah products, especially Arrum Haji products, have gone through studies and opinions from the Pegadaian Sharia Supervisory Board and are in accordance with the Fatwa from the National Sharia Council-Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) and have obtained permission from the Financial Services Authority ( OJK).
