Acting Regent Of Lumajang Fires 2 Honorary Employees Involved In Drugs
Acting Regent of Lumajang Indah Wahyuni said that his party had fired two temporary or non-ASN employees within the Lumajang Regency Government who were caught in a drug abuse case in Lumajang Regency, East Java.
"So, we have stopped the two people with the initials GA and MS. I don't have to wait for the principle of presumption of innocence or the legal process is complete, because the two people have been proven from a positive urine test using drugs," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.
He emphasized that the Lumajang Regency Government prioritizes integrity, so that it will not tolerate ASN and non-ASN employees who work within the local government.
"I urge ASN to maintain discipline, maintain integrity as ASN, especially related to drugs because I will take firm action for it," he said.
According to him, the Lumajang Regency Government will not tolerate anyone related to drug abuse, especially for people who are members of the Lumajang Regency Government, so it advised ASN to keep themselves away from drugs.
"Anyone who plays with drugs will definitely take action to stop and be processed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," he said.
He hopes that the Lumajang Regency Government ASN can become an example for the community, not the other way around, so that his party orders all levels of regional apparatus leaders to be even stricter in carrying out internal supervision of each.
The Acting Regent of Lumajang, who is familiarly called Yuyun, expressed his gratitude to the Lumajang Police, because this firm action was one of the more intense coaching steps for all employees within the local government.
"I have asked the Regional Secretary to conduct a urine test on the ranks of ASN whose duties are attached to me, as well as all employees within the Lumajang Regency Government," he said.

Yuyun said that no arrests or raids were made in the Pendapa Arya Wiraraja Lumajang area because police officers made arrests outside the pendapa area separately.
"The police suspect that there is evidence stored in pendapa because one of the suspects works at the Lumajang Regent's official residence or the Pendapa Wiraraja area," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Lumajang Police, AKBP Boy Jeckson, said two honorary employees with the initials GA and MS were arrested after the development of a drug case in Laburuk Village.
"The ranks of the Lumajang Police Satreskoba continue to develop the case because the cases currently being handled are vital and need to be followed up seriously," he said.
From the results of the search in MS's room, no evidence of methamphetamine was found, but only found a set of plastic clips and pipettes used for shabu-shabu.
