Tanjung Perak Prosecutor's Office Receives Rp7.5 Billion In Money Returns For Bank Jatim Corruption, This Is The Impact
SURABAYA - The Tanjung Perak Surabaya District Attorney (Kejari) received a refund of state losses from a criminal case of bad credit corruption at Bank Jatim worth IDR 7.5 billion.
Head of the Tanjung Perak Surabaya Kejari (Kajari), Aji Kalbu Pribadi, explained that in this case two suspects had been named. Each with the initials BK as the President Director of the electric panel manufacturing company PT Semesta Eltrindo Pura (SEP) and HK who served as commissioners.
"The two suspects are responsible for bad credit at Bank Jatim worth Rp7.5 billion which was disbursed in 2012," he told reporters in Surabaya as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 2.
Kajari Aji stated that his job is not only limited to imprisoning as many corruption suspects as possible, but also trying to restore state finances.
"Our commitment in accordance with the leadership's direction is to also try to restore state finances from corruption cases," he said.
Although the suspects have returned the potential for state losses, they have not abolished the crime.
Currently, the suspects BK and HK are still in the process of being investigated at the Tanjung Perak Surabaya Kejari.
Kajari Aji ensured that soon we will determine the case file perfectly or P-21.
"After we have determined P-12, we will immediately delegate the case file for evidence in the trial process at the Surabaya Corruption Court," he said.
In this case, the Surabaya Tanjung Perak Kejari has detained suspects BK and HK since October 5, 2023.

Based on the investigation, the two suspects were responsible for loans with a presidential pattern which is a working capital credit facility for contractors when PT SEP received a project to procure the construction of electrical panels from PT Wijaya Karya (Wika) in Kalimantan in 2011.
To work on the construction project in the form of an electrical panel from PT Wika, Bank Jatim in 2012 approved a credit loan with a presidential pattern to PT SEP worth a total of IDR 20 billion.
It is known, when PT SEP has completed the project and has been paid in full by PT Wika but until now it has never paid off working capital loans to Bank Jatim worth IDR 7.5 billion.
