Police Are Still Investigating The Discovery Of The Bodies Of A Father And Child Who Rotted In North Jakarta

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Iverson Manossoh, stated that the police are still in the investigation stage in the case of the discovery of the body of a father and son who have rotted in a house in the Koja area, North Jakarta on Saturday, October 28.

Iverson stated that the cause of death of the victim is not yet certain, and the authorities are still investigating the crime scene (TKP).

"From the Jakarta Criminal Investigation Unit, the Koja Police, the National Police Headquarters Laboratory, then from the Kramat Jati Police Hospital and forensic medicine. Let this expert work, we will convey it further later," Iverson told reporters. The identity and time of death of the victim has not been disclosed, because the condition of the body when found is rotten. The authorities need further identification to disclose this information.

"We already have real data, but this body needs identification because the ID card is not attached to the body. The victim is about 50 years old. Then another toddler is approximately 2 years old," he said.

Chronology of the discovery of the bodies of the father and son began when residents smelled an unpleasant odor from inside the house and reported the suspicion to the authorities.

The location of the house is on Jalan Balai Rakyat V, North Jakarta, and the victim was first found not far from the corner of the house.
