Investigate SYL Extortion Case, Polda Metro Will Check Several KPK Employees Next Week
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya continues to investigate the alleged extortion case by the KPK leadership against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL. In its development, investigators plan to re-examine several KPK employees next week.
"We schedule it to recall several KPK employees whose summons we sent yesterday. Either on Monday or Tuesday for us to re-examine the witnesses in question," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Friday, October 27.
However, it was not conveyed about the number of KPK employees who would be questioned. It was only conveyed that their statements were deemed necessary to uncover a series of extortion cases, including naming suspects.
A number of experts will also be questioned by investigators. Some of them include criminal experts, procedural law experts, and micro expressions experts.
In addition, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri will also be questioned again. However, regarding the time cannot be conveyed by the police.
Although, Firli had already been questioned for seven hours on October 24, investigators considered that they still needed his statement. Because, there are several things that will be explored.
"We are on the agenda. We still need some additional information from FB's brother as chairman of the KPK RI," said Ade.

In the process of investigating the alleged extortion case against Syahrul Yasin Limpo, 55 witnesses have been questioned. Some of them are SYL's driver and personal aide, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2007-2011 period Mochammad Jasin.
Then, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2015-2019 period Saut Situmorang, Director of Public Complaints and Complaints (Dumas) of the KPK Tomi Murtomo, Aide de Camp (ADC) or aide to the Chairman of the KPK Kevin Egananta, and Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar who is also SYL's nephew's husband.
