IKN Authority Develops Research And Innovation Centers In The Archipelago
The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) is developing a special area to become a center for research and innovation as well as interesting renewal ideas with the aim of becoming the main driver in building a future city in the archipelago."The world is currently racing to implement the latest technology, so it is important for us not to be left behind," said IKN Chief Authority Bambang Susantono in Jakarta, Thursday, October 26.The government, he continued, is building the capital city of the archipelago to achieve Indonesia's target as a developed country according to Indonesia's 2045 vision.Bambang said building an IKN is not the same as building an ordinary city that is more dominated by physical buildings and infrastructure alone.According to him, the project to build the capital city of Nusantara is to build spirits, build people, and build social closeness. A city that has spirit or soul is not boring because people feel happiness."IKN is not only a city that is livable and everything is good, the water can be drunk, connected to foreign countries, but a beloved city," said Bambang.He further said that his party specifically conducted studies so that Nusantara would become a beloved city with reference to various centers of the nation's capital in the world.The study, he said, was so that the authorities had a basis for taking a stand with a socio-cultural approach in Indonesia.The IKN Authority has established communication with 800 researchers to get various inputs on what can be developed in the archipelago, both in terms of technology, social, culture, and even anthropology.
"We need a holistic approach that is integrated in looking at research, so that later the decisions we take the evidence based," said Bambang.
