Bawaslu: Potential Violations In Health Checks Still Exist
Chairman of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) RI Rahmat Bagja stated that there is still potential violations at the stage of the health examination of prospective presidential and vice presidential candidates so that supervision is needed.
"Every stage has potential violations and we are trying to anticipate that, including the stages of this medical examination," said Bagja at the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto, Jakarta, Saturday, October 21.
He said the details of the potential violation would not be stated because the health examination process was currently ongoing.
The first examination was carried out on the candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar.
Bagja said Bawaslu ensured that the health check process was carried out according to existing standards or no stages were missed.

"We ensure that all stages of the health check process run according to the rules and we pray that all couples are healthy and ready to compete in the election later," he said.
Previously, the candidate pair for president and vice president Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar will undergo a medical examination at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) for 8 to 10 hours.
"The examination will be carried out for 8 to 10 hours and depending on the examination later," said Head of the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital Lt. Gen. Budi Sulistya during a press conference in Jakarta, Saturday.
He said the principle of examination was carried out professionally independent and trustworthy. "In principle, the inspection is carried out in accordance with the routine stages we carry out," he said.
