This Is The Latest Citroen Electric Car At A Price Of IDR 300 Million

JAKARTA - Stellantis, a multinational company that focuses on the electrification sector, is now prioritizing the development of affordable electric vehicle products, including the Citroen brand.

The move is indicated by the launch of the latest e-C3 variant by Citroen. Carrying the concept of electric powertrain, this fourth-generation variant of C3 marks the company's move which previously relied on gasoline engines. Citroen is now ready to compete with a number of other companies in providing an entry-level electric vehicle model aimed at the European market.

"The customer's hopes for segment B vehicles have changed, especially in line with the increasing popularity of the SUV and increasing demand for electric vehicles in urban areas," said Thierry Koskas, CEO of Citroen, in an official statement from the company, Tuesday, October 17.

With a new design, the latest e-C3 comes with a fresh design language. With the concept of a small crossover, this vehicle offers a wider cabin space thanks to a high roof line.

As seen in the image, significant changes can be seen in this latest model with the presence of the latest front bumper and the 'Citroen' logo surrounded by C-shaped lights.

On the back, this vehicle features a long lamp with a small back wing floating above the window, becoming a standard feature.

Citroen will sell this compact crossover in two variants, namely You and Max. The You variant, as the base type, features LED headlights, emergency braking systems, head-up views, rear parking sensors, and Cruise Control as standard equipment.

Meanwhile, the Max variant, as the top type, is equipped with additional features such as 17-inch rims, two-tone exterior colors, automatic wipers, automatic temperature controllers, wireless charging, and other equipment.

This electric vehicle is equipped with an electric motor stationed at the front, providing up to 113 dk of power capable of accelerating this model from 0 to 100 km/hour within 11 seconds.

One of these emission-free models is powered by a lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery that allows e-C3 to have a range of up to 320 km according to the WLTP cycle. Entering the entry-level model but this vehicle offers impressive charging capability from 20 to 80 percent with a 7 kW charger within 4 hours. As for the DC fast charging system measuring 100 kW, e-C3 is capable of charging up to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes.

The e-C3 will be available in various parts of Europe, mainly in France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, and Austria, at prices ranging from 23,300 euros or around Rp386.7 million.

Citroen also plans to launch an e-C3 variant with a lower range of up to 200 km by 2025, with a cheaper price of 19,900 euros or around Rp330.4 million.
