Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Becomes The Most Beneficial In Music History
JAKARTA - Taylor Swift's Eras Tour was set to be the most profitable tour in music history.
The stadium-filled show, which began in March and is scheduled to last until the end of 2024, is projected to raise a total fund of $5.7 billion.
This amount is enough to make 20 US dollars for everyone.
The estimate, quoted by the Washington Post, comes from Peter Cohan, a management professor at Babson College in Massachusetts. The figures suggest that Swift's revenue from the tour will be larger than the world's 42-yearly GDP.
The revenue will also be boosted by the release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, an official concert film released in theaters on October 13 yesterday.
The film generates more than 80 million US dollars in continued ticket sales and is projected to make $196 million during its theatrical screening.
This record-breaking tour also had a significant impact on the US economy, with ticket sales, merchantization, and travel all contributing to the entire tour.
The software company QuestionPro calculates that each show generates about 93 million US dollars for the local economy.
