Falcon Heavy SpaceX Successfully Launches NASA's Psyche Into Space
JAKARTA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) spacecraft has been launched since October 13. The launch took place at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) with the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
Quoting from Space, Psyche is the first mission launched with a Falcon Heavy. This SpaceX rocket started the first 27 engines to lift Pysche into space.
2.5 minutes after launch, the booster next to Falcon Heavy shuts down its engine and escapes from the central core stage. This booster made a landing on Florida's Space Coast.
The next 1.5 minutes or about 4 minutes after taking off, the Falcon Heavy core booster shuts off the first phase engine and separates from the second stage of the rocket. That way, the second stage of the rocket will carry Psyche towards a metal asteroid of the same name.
