Moeldoko Encourages Acceleration Of Ratification Of The Appraisal Bill

JAKARTA Presidential Chief of Staff, Moeldoko will encourage the acceleration of the ratification of the Appraisal Bill in order to provide legal certainty and protection for the assessment profession. This was said by Moeldoko when receiving the General Chairperson of the National Leadership Council of the Indonesian Assessing Professional Community (MAPPI), Muhammad Adil Muttaqin at the Development Building of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Jakarta, Friday, October 13. "Accelerated the ratification of the Appraisal Bill. We will encourage the Bill to be discussed immediately with the DPR," said Moeldoko. According to Moeldoko, the assessment profession has an important role in national development. This is because the appraisers carry out a mandate from the state to carry out an assessment, which is one of the stages in land acquisition, including in the implementation of the National Strategic Project (PSN). On that occasion, Moeldoko also conveyed input so that MAPPI continues to improve the Indonesian Assessation Standard (SPI). Don't just assess the physicality only, but also look at the social and humanitarian aspects, so that the results of the assessment can provide a sense of justice for the community, said Moeldoko. Meanwhile, Muttaqin conveyed that the Appraiton Bill is not only important to support national development, but also related to other strategic sectors.

"In addition to land acquisition, MAPPI is also involved in developing and strengthening the financial sector," he said. Finally, Muttaqin mentioned that the existence of a legal umbrella will be useful in the development of the assessment profession, so that the role of appraisers in development can continue to be maximized.
