Jokowi: Indonesia Chooses To Strengthen Collaboration In The Bandng Rivality

NUSA Dua - President Joko Widodo emphasized that Indonesia chose to prioritize and strengthen cooperation and collaboration amidst the current global rivalry.

This was conveyed by Jokowi after closing the Archipelagic and Island State (AIS) Summit in the Nusa Dua area, Badung Regency, Bali, Wednesday, October 11.

"When many parties choose rivalry, Indonesia chooses to strengthen inclusive cooperation and collaboration with as many countries as possible," said President Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA.

The President emphasized that when many parties prefer long discussions, Indonesia chooses concrete cooperation, whose benefits can be directly felt by the community.

"This is an initiative whose goal is none other than to create a peaceful, prosperous and stable Indo Pacific region. Because what we want is to grow together, move forward together, and prosper together," he explained.

As for his presentation, Jokowi said that the implementation of the AIS Summit was one of Indonesia's commitments to cooperate at a higher level, as well as become an international organization in taking concrete steps to address regional issues and world issues and to continue to voice the interests of developing countries and archipelagic countries.

The AIS Summit agreed to uphold the principle of solidarity with equality and inclusiveness as a common basis in working together.
