Askrindo Invites Insurance Literacy Media
JAKARTA - Data from the 2022 National Financial Literacy Index noted that insurance sector literacy increased to 31.72 percent from the original 15.8 percent in 2016. However, this only shows that only a small part of the people are already literate but have not been encouraged to take advantage of the insurance product itself (inclusion).
This spurred PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia or Askrindo to increase its commitment to continuing to educate the public about understanding insurance in the midst of challenges in the digital era and continue to provide innovation in line with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
Along with Insurance Day and Financial Inclusion Month in 2023, Askrindo again held an Insurance Literacy Activity to media friends on October 10, 2023.
Cahyo Hari Purwanto, as Corporate Secretary, said that Askrindo's goal was to isolate insurance to the media because fellow journalists became a bridge to the public about the role and benefits of insurance. Thus, journalists become media to the public so that they can enjoy the benefits of insurance properly and correctly.
"In accordance with Askrindo's commitment to continue to mobilize insurance literacy massively, so that through media, education and literacy insurance can attract various levels of society," said Cahyo.

Askrindo believes that the media has an important role in disseminating accurate and reliable information. Currently, the media is also trusted as an agent of change in society. Therefore, through this activity, Askrindo invites media colleagues to be able to collaborate in educating so that the understanding of insurance to the wider community can increase.
"It is hoped that this event can raise awareness of the importance of insurance literacy in maintaining financial protection for both individuals and communities," concluded Cahyo.
