President Jokowi Scheduled To Watch The Mandalika MotoGP
President Joko Widodo is scheduled to watch the Indonesian MotoGP racing event at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara on October 13-15, 2023.
"It has been confirmed that Mr. President Jokowi will attend and watch MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit," said Head of the NTB Tourism Office, Jamaluddin Malady in Mataram as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.
He said President Jokowi did not come alone, a number of ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet were also scheduled to accompany the President at the Mandalika Circuit.
"Information during our meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the president was present with a number of ministers, but we don't know who we are," said the Mandalika MotoGP Field Commander.
Apart from being present to watch MotoGP, President Jokowi will also hand over trophies for MotoGP winners at the Mandalika Circuit.
"We have discussed the readiness of the President's presence at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and during a MotoGP preparation meeting with the NTB Police a few days ago," he said.

The Managing Director of MGPA, Priandhi Satria, said that the preparation of the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit to hold the Indonesian GP 2023 was almost 100 percent.
"Various preparations have been made ranging from repairing the track (track), readiness of marshals, medical centers, paddock facilities, grandstand, to inner-circuits," he said.
MGPA together with Roadgrip Ltd have started repainting the kerb and the Circuit run-off area. Of the total area of 27,380 square meters, repainting has reached approximately 22,000 square meters.
In addition, sensors have also been installed for new track-limit areas according to FIM requests, as well as the timing system.
MGPA has also conducted training for marshals who will serve during the race. 402 marshals, 95 percent of whom are from local residents, are ready to serve. From the medical center side, in collaboration with the NTB Provincial Hospital, MGPA has prepared the provision of complete medical equipment such as ambulances, providing experienced medical teams and emergency care facilities.
While in the paddock area, MGPA continues to coordinate with Dorna Sports SL to prepare layouts and various facilities as operations centers for racing teams, including other paddock facilities such as the Media Center, Relaxing Zone, and Team Office.
