4th Floor House Climbing, Thief In Tambora Gasak IDR 200 Million In Population Intensive Housing
JAKARTA - MM alias Lana (32), a specialist in single-player theft, was arrested by the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit based on CCTV surveillance camera footage at the scene.
Previously, the suspect's action was caught on CCTV cameras breaking into TI's house (31) on Jalan KH. Moh. Mansyur, North Duri Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta.
Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama, said the suspect was arrested based on the results of the investigation and processing of the crime scene (TKP).
"The suspect was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit on Jalan Tambora Raya, West Jakarta," said Kompol Putra to VOI, Wednesday, October 4.
The theft carried out by the suspect is classified as professional. The suspect first looked at the target house for the theft and prepared a series of careful plans.
"The perpetrators acted recklessly climbing from a small alley to the victim's house, passing through four other houses such as the fictional character Spiderman," he said.
To avoid residents' suspicions, he was desperate to commit theft in a different way. The perpetrator entered the victim's house through the unlocked fourth floor.
"Finally, the perpetrator arrived on the fourth floor of the victim's house. The perpetrator managed to enter the victim's house through the door on the fourth floor," he said.

"The loss suffered by the victim reached Rp 200 million. The items that were lost were laptops, gold jewelry, diamonds, cash and motorbikes belonging to the victim," said Kompol Putra.
After getting the stolen goods, the suspect fled. However, the traces of the theft of the suspect MM were recorded by CCTV surveillance cameras.
"The success of the arrest of the perpetrator cannot be separated from the results of the crime scene. The Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit examined evidence at the scene and clues from CCTV footage. From the available clues, we were able to identify the perpetrators, find their whereabouts and arrest them," he said.
As a result of his actions, the suspect MM alias Lana was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with a weighted penalty of 9 years in prison.
