Approved To Be A Constitutional Court Judge, This Is Arsul Sani's Reason For Not Resigning From The DPR And PPP
JAKARTA - The DPR plenary meeting approved Arsul Sani as a judge of the Constitutional Court (MK) replacing Wahiduddin Adams. However, Arsul admitted that he had not resigned as a PPP cadre or a member of the DPR.
The reason is because the inauguration to become a new Constitutional Court judge will be held no later than January 17. Therefore, the deputy chairman of the PPP will still carry out his duties as a member of the DPR in the next few months.
Even so, Arsul confirmed that he had resigned his status as a PPP cadre and a member of the DPR when he was sworn in as a judge of the Constitutional Court.
"If I resign now, I must also resign from the DPR. Members of the DPR are required to be members of the party," said Arsul, Tuesday, October 3.
"Why? Because I will only be sworn in where all ties with the party and the DPR break up later when I am sworn in. That's only the fastest I think is January 17th. It's still a long time," he continued.
Arsul said he would still undergo recess activities as a member of the DPR in his constituency (dapil). He claimed that he would account for the recess money he had received by visiting the constituents and saying goodbye.
"I use this opportunity to say goodbye to my constituent bases that have helped together. So in the future, we will propose it," said Arsul.

Nevertheless, Arsul admitted that he had submitted his resignation as a legislative candidate from PPP when reporting the results of the fit and proper test to Plt Chairman of PPP Muhamad Mardiono a few days ago.
In addition, Arsul will also resign as Deputy Chairman of PPP, members of the DPR and deputy chairman of the MPR. Arsul said that he would be replaced by PPP Munawaroh cadres as members of the DPR.
"My PAW will be Mrs. Munawaroh. That's a Muslim figure in Central Java," said Arsul.
For information, Munawaroh is a PPP candidate from the Central Java Election X in which he received the second most votes after Arsul in the 2019 Election.
