Ganjar Wins 44 Percent In East Java Despite Cak Imin On The Side Of Anies Baswedan
JAKARTA - Saiful Mujani Research And Consulting (SMRC) conducted a face-to-face national survey right after the declaration of Anies Baswedan - Muhaimin Iskandar.
SMRC founder Saiful Mijani said the national survey was conducted from September 2 to 11, 2023.
The survey was conducted nationally, but what was analyzed was specifically in East Java.
"In a pairless format in the simulation of three names, Ganjar Pranowo received 44 percent support, Prabowo Subianto 23 percent, Anies Baswedan 14.2 percent, while those who did not answer or did not know 18.8 percent," said Saiful in an official statement, Thursday, September 28.
Saiful explained that Anies' voice in East Java was not much different from his voice at the national level, and even tended to be lower.

In the previous survey, namely July 31, August 11, 2023, nationally Anies received 20.4 percent support.
The result, according to Saiful, shows that in East Java, where Anies-Muhaimin's declaration was made, did not make Anies strengthen for the time being.
"In East Java, Ganjar is still ahead, especially with Anies, with a difference of around 30 percent of support," he said.
It is known that respondents in the survey are all Indonesian citizens in East Java who have the right to vote in the general election, namely those who are 17 years old or older, or are already married when the survey is conducted.
From that population, 180 respondents were chosen by random (multistage random sampling). The response rate (respondents who can be interviewed validly) is 150 or 83 percent. A total of 150 respondents were analyzed.
The survey margin of error with the sample size is estimated at 8.2 percent at a 95 percent confidence level (symple random sampling assumption). The selected respondents were interviewed face-to-face by the interviewers who had been trained. Field interview time 2-11 September 2023.
