Bantul Transportation Agency Claims Never Gives Parking Permits On Road Bahuts

BANTUL - The Transportation Service (Dishub) of Bantu Regency claims that it has never given permission from the public or managers of motorized vehicle parking on the shoulder of the highway in Bantul.

"We have never given a parking permit on the shoulder of the road because the shoulder of the road is indeed a prohibited area for parking," said Head of the Bantul Singgih Transportation Service (Dishub) Riyadi in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Wednesday, September 27, as reported by Antara.

However, he said, his party does not deny that there is a reckless practice of parking motorized vehicles on the shoulder of the highway so that parking and withdrawal of tariffs do not have a legal basis.

"So, if you withdraw people's funds that don't have a legal umbrella, you can conclude it yourself," he said.

Therefore, he said, the Bantul Transportation Agency appealed to parking managers on the shoulder of the highway to take care of licensing to this agency so that supervision and control (wasdal) can be carried out by personnel from the Bantul Transportation Agency.

"For people who provide parking services, take care of permits to the Transportation Service because with a permit, we have the responsibility to do wasdal, provide parking attendant facilities at least given vests and hats, so there is legality," he said.

Meanwhile, for the public, motorized vehicle users are advised not to park on the shoulder of the road as much as possible, especially those that are prohibited. "But park in the parking area," he said.

"If those who use the shoulder of the road are indeed a parking ban area, don't park there, if we find for example, we will definitely ban it," he continued.

He hopes that the public can report to the Department of Transportation if they find illegal or illegal parking, and even experience illegal parking at a rate because the Bantul Transportation Agency has a hotline number for complaints about parking issues.
