Appreciation From Indra Sjafri
JAKARTA - The U-24 Indonesian national team reaped a satisfactory result in the inaugural match of the 2023 Asian Games, Tuesday, September 19. Rizky Ridho and his friends beat Kyrgyzstan with a score of 2-0.
Two goals from Garuda Muda were scored by Ramai Rumakiek in the 58th minute and Hugo Samir during the second half extra time.
The coach of the U-24 Indonesian national team, Indra Sjafri, said that this victory could not be separated from the roles of various parties. He also expressed his appreciation for the assistance of all the teams involved behind this victory.
"Thank you to all the players who have worked hard in this match, as well as the coaching staff, and the official team who are also working hard to prepare everything for this team to perform optimally," said Indra Sjafri on the PSSI official website.
He gave special appreciation to League 1 clubs that have released their players to the national team for the 2023 Asian Games. According to him, the coaches of League 1 clubs have improved the quality of young Indonesian players.
"Thank you to all the clubs and all the club coaches who have given their players to the Asian Games national team, and have trained and assisted the national team in improving the quality of the abilities of young Indonesian players," said Indra Sjafri.
"This also shows that our local club and competition have also improved in quality, so that all players are formed from very tight and competitive competitions. The quality of the competition will have an impact on the quality of the national team players," he added.
In the next match, the U-24 Indonesian national team will face Taiwan on the second matchday of Group F. The match will take place at Zhejiang Normal University East Stadium, Thursday, September 21.
