Bandung DPRD Asks Acting Mayor To Complete Waste Emergency
The Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Bandung City hopes that the Acting (Pj) Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono will be able to solve the emergency problem of handling the waste that is currently happening in the City of Kembang.
"Of course we hope that Mr. Bambang, who gets this mandate, can immediately solve the waste problem by continuing what has been handled by the Bandung City Government regarding the waste management emergency," said Bandung City DPRD Chairman Tedy Rusmawan as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 15.
Bambang Tirtoyuliono, who also serves as Head of the West Java Provincial Highways and Spatial Planning Office, is also expected to be able to find other alternatives related to land for temporary waste disposal while waiting for the handling of fires at the Sarimukti Final Disposal Site (TPA).
"It is high hope that the Sarimukti TPA can return to normal or there are other alternatives, because he is from the province, he knows better about handling waste," said Tedy.
In addition to handling waste, Tedy hopes that Bambang will understand the flood preparedness that often hit the Bandung City area.
"Because he is the background of the clan and spatial planning, it is hoped that there will be preparedness for flood management in the Bandung area, especially the Cileuncang flood," he said.
He also ensured that the Bandung City DPRD was ready to support Bambang Tirtoyuliono in the hope of resolving the problem and continuing development in the city of Bandung.
