TNBTS BB Ensures No Tourism Activities In The Bromo Area
The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Center (BB TNBTS) ensures that there are no tourist activities within the Mount Bromo area, East Java, during the process of handling forest and land fires (karhutla).
Head of Administration Section of the TNBTS Center Septi Eka Wardhani said tourism activities within the national park area were temporarily suspended to make it easier for the joint team to deal with forest and land fires. "There is no tourism activity in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area," said Septi as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 12. However, he continued, for tourists visiting Seruni Point located in Ngadisari Village, Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency, it is still possible because the tourist destination is outside the national park area. Meanwhile, tourist destinations that enter the national park area include Penanjakan, Bukit Telletubies and the Pasir Badminton area. The area is closed to tourists for handling forest and land fires. "For Seruni Point it is outside the national park area, but does have views that lead to Bromo and are bordered with the area. For access also not to pass through the area, it can be accessed from Cemoro Lawang," said Septi. The joint team is still making efforts to extinguish a number of points in the national park area. After the forest and forest fires on Mount Bromo are extinguished and tourism activities are reopened, they hope that tourists can follow all the rules including maintaining the potential of the fire. "We urge visitors to follow all the rules when active in the national park area, whether there are officers or not. We ask to keep following the applicable rules," he said.
