DPRD Asks DKI Provincial Government To Focus On Budget For Repair Of Damaged Roads And Floods
Deputy Chairman of Commission D of the DKI DPRD, Nova Harivan Paloh, asked the DKI Jakarta provincial government to focus on the budget for damaged roads in order to realize the aspirations of the people.
"The important thing is that we repair the environmental road, suddenly the road is broad if, for example, we reduce the budget, the bicycle will have another accident," Nova said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 11.
Nova said that currently, his aspirations as a member of the council are flood problems, damaged roads, and public street lighting (PJU).
These three things are the focus of visiting constituents or electoral districts to carry out their duties as representatives of the people (recess) and socialization of regional regulations (sosper).
"For example, damaged roads in Jagakarsa, repairing waterways in Bukit Duri, Tebet, which often floods, are unfortunate for the limitations of Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP)," he explained.
Therefore, he always emphasized not to continue to reduce the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) related to community aspiration services.
"Don't be disturbed by the aspirations of the community regarding infrastructure such as floods, road problems to waste management," he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD member Lukmanul Hakim urged the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Office to optimize the repair of roads that were completely damaged so as not to appear patchy.
According to Lukmanul, road repairs should be a priority in order to reduce the potential for traffic accidents related to the death of a motorcyclist after an accident on Jalan Kunir, Tamansari, West Jakarta on Wednesday (15/3). The victim with the initials DP (19) had an accident because he tried to avoid a pothole but was hit by a bus passing by.
"The potholed road in Jakarta is not handled properly. What the Highways Department is doing is only patched with embroidery," said Lukmanul.
According to Lukmanul, with the road repair budget listed in the 2023 DKI Jakarta APBD of IDR 300 billion, it is appropriate for local governments to be able to provide optimal road repairs.
