Alfreandra Dewangga Is Not Afraid To Compete With Venezia Jay Idzes Players Who Want PSSI To Naturalize
JAKARTA - The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) is working on the naturalization process of Venezia's player, Jay Idzes. This one player is known to be able to play in various positions.
Idzes is known to be able to be placed as a center-back, left-back, defensive midfielder, and midfielder. This fact is believed to threaten the position of the current U-23 Indonesian national team player, Alfeandra Dewangga.
The reason is, the two players have the same position. However, Dewangga admitted that he was not worried about his position as a defender being threatened.
The PSIS Semarang player was not afraid of the planned naturalization of the footballer who strengthened Italian Serie B club Venezia and is ready to compete for the main position in Garuda's back line.
"As a player, I don't have a problem because the competition in football is because of fair play too. We just prove it at TC, the same in matches," said Dewangga, as quoted from Antara, Sunday, September 10.
Jay has a classy portfolio in European football and can play the same position as Dewangga, namely as a center-back, left-back, defensive midfielder, and midfielder.
The Dutch-born footballer who is now 23 years old has made four appearances for Venezia in Serie B Italy this season and helped his team be in fourth place in the standings, with eight points, two wins and two draws, as reported by Transfermarkt.
Last season, the player who had Indonesian blood from his grandparents performed well with his former club Go Ahead Eagles at the Dutch Eredivisie. At that time, with 32 appearances and one goal, Jay led his team to finish in 11th position in the Netherlands with 40 points, 10 wins, 10 draws, and 14 defeats.
