2024 State Budget Expenditures Increase By IDR 21 Trillion, Enter Subsidies And Education
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani revealed that next year's state spending is estimated to increase by IDR 21 trillion.
This was revealed during the discussion of the 2024 State Budget Draft between the government and the DPR today.
He explained that the additional funds would be distributed to a number of sectors. First, energy subsidies of IDR 3.2 trillion.
Second, compensation for fuel and electricity of IDR 10.1 trillion.
Third, education reserve funds of IDR 3.9 trillion. And the fourth is ministry/institutional spending of IDR 3.8 trillion.
"This is an additional state expenditure in the 2024 RAPBN," he said at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta on Thursday, September 7.
Sri Mulyani explained that the addition of this budget did not change the composition of the RAPBN posture which is currently being discussed with the DPR.
The reason is, the budget allocation comes from the projected increase in state revenue, namely from non-tax tax and state revenue (PNBP).

The state treasurer detailed that next year's tax revenue target will be increased by IDR 2 trillion (to IDR 1,988.9 trillion). Then, PNBP was raised by IDR 19 trillion (to IDR 492 trillion).
"This means that this increase does not reduce the deficit to be maintained at IDR 522.8 trillion or equivalent to 2.29 percent of gross domestic product," he said.
VOI noted that in the submission of the 2024 State Budget Bill, state revenues amounted to Rp2,781.3 trillion with expenditures of Rp3,304.1 trillion.
Meanwhile, the provisional posture of the 2024 State Budget, which is now being discussed, contains state revenues of IDR 2,802.3 trillion and state expenditures of IDR 3,325.1 trillion.
