Supporting Government Program, Toyota Presents Free Emission Test Service
JAKARTA - In order to support the government's program regarding tightening emissions in DKI Jakarta, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), presents a free emission test program in Toyota and Lexus' official workshop networks.
The emission testing was carried out in the DKI Jakarta area from September 4 to December 31, 2023. More interestingly, the program is free of charge for Toyota vehicles that are more than 3 years old, in accordance with applicable regulations.
However, before visiting the official Toyota workshop network, customers are advised to make reservations at the nearest Toyota and Lexus official workshops in order to facilitate the emission test process.
"This step is aimed at supporting government programs related to controlling vehicle exhaust emission levels in the capital in accordance with applicable regulations," said Deputy President Director of PT TAM, Henry Tanoto.
In line with the implementation of DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 66 of 2020 concerning Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests, emission tests carried out at Toyota and Lexus official workshops are carried out using a special tool called Analizer Gas which has been certified by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
If the vehicle is declared to have passed the emission test, it will be registered with the information system belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the emission test.jakarta.go.id page or the Emissions E-Uji mobile application.

Another interesting thing about the program is that Toyota customers can conduct emission tests in conjunction with periodic services at Toyota and Lexus authorized workshops throughout Indonesia.
PT TAM also advises customers to carry out periodic services to keep their cars optimal at the official workshop every 6 months or 10,000 km. However, if the vehicle has not passed the emission test, the Toyota service will provide improvement suggestions based on the condition of the customer's vehicle.
Because it can be done simultaneously during periodic service, customers are free of charge for emission test activities whose results are valid for 1 year and must repeat the following year.
Emission tests are measurements of engine exhaust gases to detect engine performance by finding out the normal limits of vehicle exhaust gas levels. The testing gasoline engine is focused on seeing the levels of water, air, and gas that will increase due to less perfect engine combustion.
As for diesel engines, emission tests are focused on the resulting exhaust levels. If the level of dexterity increases, it means that there is a problem with the engine.
