Persija Vs Persib: The Kemayoran Tigers Want To Change The Bad Trend

The classic duel between the two teams took place in the eleventh week at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, West Java, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 15.00 WIB.

The host Persija was in a bad performance when they were about to welcome their arch-foe. In the last four matches, they lost twice and drew twice.

"We have to change the trend without the victory experienced by Persija. However, we also have to enjoy the game because against Persib is the biggest match in Indonesia," said their coach Thomas Doll, quoted by the club's official website.

The four unwinned matches began when the 1-1 draw against Borneo in early August. After that they lost against Madura United, drew with Arema, and were then beaten by Dewa United.

Currently, the Kemayoran Tigers have collected 13 points and are in 12th position. It was the result of three wins, four draws, and three defeats from 10 matches that have been played.

"Everyone will play motivationful. I believe they will play well for 90 minutes in front of Jakmania," said Thomas.

Meanwhile, Persib played this away match when they were in the opposite form. In the last two matches they were recorded as bringing home full points after winning over PSIS and RANS.

Currently, Persib's position on the standings board is better in one place with a one-point advantage. Therefore, they automatically come with the ambition to continue their positive trend.
