The 2023 Media Art Community Festival Held At The NTB Cultural Park

MATARAM - Directorate of Film, Music and Media, Directorate General of Culture of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology held the 2023 Media Arts Community Festival (FKSM) in the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Cultural Park. The festival, which is a collaboration with ARCOLABS UPTD West Nusa Tenggara Province Cultural Park, will take place from September 2 to 8, 2023. The implementation of FKSM which moves cities every year becomes a strategic step to strengthen the art ecosystem of media in Indonesia through the expansion of access to arts and media technology," said Director General of Culture Hilmar Farid in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, September 2. The festival will be filled with a variety of activities ranging from media arts exhibitions, cross-media performances, as well as a series of educational activities for the general public and students in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. FKSM, previously known as the Media Art Week, was held in Bandung in 2015 2016, Pekanbaru in 2017, Palu, in 2018, Samarinda in 2019, and Bengkulu in 2022. For this year, FKSM chose Mataram as its host on the consideration of the arts and Cultural Park community in Lombok which continues to grow actively and dynamically. Film, Music, and Media Director of the Ministry of Education and Culture Ahmad Mahendra said that this event would be a forum forum for exchanging ideas and collaborating for Indonesian artists. The selection of works and communities in FKSM 2023 departs from the curation framework of the Land of Dialetics related media and technology that contribute to the dynamics of a society. The dynamics of such a society, in particular in formulating interpretations of land both symbolic and geographical and imagination about the future.

FKSM 2023 kembali melibatkan Sudjud Dartanto, Jeong Ok Jeon dan Yudi Ahmad Tajudin sebagai curator dengan proses curasi komunitas artis yang cukup bervariasi.Sebanyak 21 komunitas artis akhirnya terpilih dalam FKSM 2023 yaitu di antaranya adalah Tanah Dialektika adalah Bulqini (Bandung, Jawa Barat) berkolaborasi dengan mantra Ardhana dan Sanggar Aruntala (Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat). Kemudian juga Densiel Lebang berkolaborasi dengan Standard Collect Collective (DKI Jakarta), Faisal Kamandrabat dan Sanggar Matur Nuwun (Majenang, Central Java) berkolaborasi dengan Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama NTB (Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat).id (Matarabs.id (Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat), Gondola Team (DKI Jakarta), Heri Dono & Studio Kalahan (DI Yogyakarta), KAE&Ruang Digital Indonesia &ur Monre (DKI Jakarta), Collaboration Artist Lombok (Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat), serta lainnya.
