Successfully Stealing Global Market Attention, Hyundai Prepares Facelift Ioniq 5

Hyundai, one of the main players in the electrification vehicle market, continues to innovate. One proof of their success is the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which has managed to attract consumer attention since its launch in February 2021. This model is Hyundai's mainstay in the global electric vehicle market.

Despite being only two years old since its launch, Hyundai seems to have started to make changes to Ioniq 5. Some of the recently emerged spy photos suggest this electric SUV is being tested with camouflage stickers covered.

Reporting from Motor1, Wednesday, August 30, at first sight, there seems to be no significant change to the shape and dimension of Ioniq 5. However, the body covered with a camouflage sticker provides clues about the upcoming changes to the appearance of this SUV.

The most striking change lies in the back that has been redesigned, as well as some minor changes to the bottom of the front bumper. In addition, there may be a change in the position of the parking sensor.

In Indonesia, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is available in four different variants. There is a standard variant with one acceleration transmission and front wheels driving, with a battery capacity of 58 kWh. There is also a standard variant with one acceleration transmission and a fourth driving wheel, also with a capacity of 58 kWh. The other variant is Long Range with one acceleration transmission and front wheels driving, which is equipped with a battery capacity of 72.6 kWh. Finally, the Long Range variant with one acceleration transmission and four-wheel drive, also with a capacity of 72.6 kWh.

The Prime Standard and Signature Standard variants have a distance of up to 384 km, while the Long Range variant on Prime and Signature has an extraordinary distance, reaching 481 km in one charge.

Ioniq 5 is also equipped with a variety of advanced features, including BlueLink technology, the Bose voice system, wind-circumulated seats, dual zone climate control, and Vehicle to Load technology that allows this car to function as an external resource.

Not only that, but Ioniq 5 also offers various safety features, such as a level 2 driver assistance system, six airbags, an ABS braking system with EBD, Engineering Parking Brakes, and a four-brake system.

Behind the luxury of features and technology, Ioniq 5 also offers impressive performance. Powered by one synchronous magnetic permanent electric motor with 211 dk of power and torque of up to 350 Nm.

Because of the design and performance offered, Ioniq 5 won a prestigious award, including the title "World Car of the Year 2022." Hyundai Ioniq 5 price in Indonesia ranges from Rp681.9 million to Rp783.1 million.
