The Cause Of The Fall Of The Wagner Prigozhin Group Boss Plane Has Many Versions, Kremlin: Let's Wait For The Results Of The Investigation
JAKARTA - Investigators are considering and analyzing various versions of the cause of the crash of the plane carrying Wagner Group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin and his colleagues, including the possibility of it being dropped on purpose.
"It is clear that various versions are being considered, including versions - you know what we're talking about - say, intentional atrocities," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters when asked about the investigation.
When asked if the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) would investigate the crash, Peskov said the situation was different, although he warned investigators had not yet made an official conclusion on what really happened.
"Let's wait for the results of the Russian investigation," Peskov said.
Private jet of Embraer, boarded by Prigozhin from Moscow to St. Petersburg, crashed north of Moscow and killed all 10 people on board on August 23, including two Wagner officials, four Prigozhin bodyguards and three crew members.
The cause is still unclear, but villagers near the scene said they heard a bang and then saw the plane crash to the ground.
The plane crashed exactly two months after Prigozhin and its troops took control of Rostov City in southern Russia at the end of last June, a half-hearted uprising by the Wagner Group against Moscow military officials.
Russia has informed Brazilian aircraft investigative authorities it will not investigate the crash of Brazilian-made Embraer jets under international regulations "for now", Brazil said.

Asked about the report, Peskov said: "First of all, the investigation is ongoing, the Investigative Committee is involved in this."
"In this case, there is no talk of international aspects," Peskov said.
It is known that the Kremlin firmly rejected Russia's accusations of deliberately killing Prigozhin due to a coup grudge, calling it a lie.
