Violating Residence Permits, Babel Immigration Office Deports 11 Foreigners
PANGKALPINANG - Immigration Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Bangka Belitung Islands Province deported 11 foreign nationals (WNA) for violating immigration regulations set by the government.
"During January to July 2023, we have deported 11 foreigners for exceeding the high permit and misuse of residence permits," said Head of the Immigration Division of the Babel Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office Doni Alfisyahrin as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 28.
He said that in optimizing the supervision of foreigners, the Immigration of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Babel Islands has collaborated with the Foreigner Monitoring Team (Timpora) consisting of the TNI, Polri, the Provincial, Regency/City, and other relevant stakeholders to carry out the supervisory function of foreign activities.
"We hope that the community will participate in supervising foreigners to maintain a conducive atmosphere in this area," he said.
He stated that the Immigration of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Babel during January to July 2023 had extended 1,508 residence permits for foreigners, with details of Pangkalpinang's Kanim as many as 1,413 residence permits and Tanjungpan's Kanim as many as 95 residence permits.
"We are trying to improve the quality of service to the community through various innovations, one of which is picking up the ball in providing passport management services," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Babel, Harun Sulianto, hopes that the ranks of the Babel Immigration will continue to improve service quality with various innovations in providing services and taking action against foreigners who violate the applicable regulations.
"We hope that the Immigration Office will continue to optimize supervision, law enforcement, maintain state security, and become a community welfare development facilitator in this area," he said.
