SpaceX Partners With Cloudflare To Improve Starlink Satellite Internet Service

JAKARTA - SpaceX of the company owned by Elon Musk is working with Cloudflare to improve the performance of its satellite internet service, Starlink. This was a report from The Information on Wednesday, August 23 citing sources with direct knowledge of the project.

This information immediately made Cloudflare's share price, which provides content delivery services, jump 7.2%.

The two companies are working to improve the network of mini-Starlink data centers around the world that can help deliver higher network speeds to their customers, the report said.

Starlink is one of a number of small satellite makers focused on providing satellite-based internet, including Amazon.com's Kuiper, UK's OneWeb, and the planet backed by venture capital.

The report did not mention the financial details of this partnership. Meanwhile,Cloudflare did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the media.
