KCIC Proposes Ticket Prices For The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train To Be Priced At IDR 250,000 To IDR 350,000
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) proposed that the ticket price for the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) be priced at IDR 250,000 to IDR 350,000 for one road.
"For the amount of tickets, the proposal is IDR 250,000 to IDR 350,000," said KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa when contacted by VOI in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 23.
Eva said the amount of the first fast train transportation rate in Indonesia was only in the form of a proposal. This means that there has been no official decision from the government.
"Later we will inform you later, fixed (the ticket price)," said Eva.
Previously, the Director of the Indonesia-China Fast Train (KCIC) Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi revealed that his party was trying to prevent the ticket price of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) from exceeding IDR 250,000 per person.
"We are discussing the tickets, including from the Ministry of Transportation, and also providing input. This is still a consideration to be immediately determined. From the Ministry of Transportation, he asked if it could be below Rp. 250,000," he said when met at KCIC Halim Station, Jakarta, Thursday, June 22.
Furthermore, Dwiyana also suggested that the sale of KCJB tickets be carried out using a package or bundling system with the Jakarta LRT, as well as a feeder train or feeder train for passengers who continue their journey from Padalarang Station to the center of Bandung City.
"We want an integrity ticketing as well as a feeder, with such an LRT. That's why later when the commissioning operation date (COD) is really seamless. So we really make it easy to get all the tickets," he said.
KCJB Tickets Can't Be Subsidy
Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said KCJB tickets would not receive subsidies from the government.
"Nothing. Not yet, so if the LRT does have a Presidential Decree, if the KCJB is so far, it doesn't exist yet. But we are discussing with the Ministry of Transportation what the scheme will be. So not yet," he said, in the Senayan area, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 22.
Tiko, Kartika's nickname, said that determining the KCJB tariff was under the authority of the Ministry of Transportation.
Regarding ticket prices, he said, currently it is still in the process of being discussed and there has been no final decision.

Tiko said the main focus is currently preparing KCJB to be able to start the trial process in September.
He said, various improvements were made at the location including Halim Station which was already 97 percent. Likewise with Padalarang Hub Station.
Padalarang juga progress. Jadi kita on track. September kita uji coba. Kita belum tahu tanggalnya. Itu nanti tergantung Kementerian Perhubungan, bagaimana kita bisa. Nanti full operasi seharusnya di-share. Tapi kita uji coba September," jelasnya.
