Benjamin Netanyahu Accuses Iran Of Masterminding Attacks On The West Bank
JAKARTA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday (21/8) openly accused Iran of intensifying armed attacks targeting Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank recently.
Accompanied by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Netanyahu visited the shooting site in the city of Hebron, the southern West Bank which killed a settlers and left another seriously injured.
"We are facing an attack supported, directed and funded by Iran and its extensions," Netanyahu said at the scene when Israeli forces were still investigating.
"Tiredly we try to catch up to the perpetrators," he added.
The Israeli military sent rock reinforcements and carried out raids on the occupied West Bank region after a recent incident that killed three settlers.

On August 19, two settlers were killed in an attack in Huwara City near Nabus City, West Bank.
Then on Monday, August 21, a settlers were killed early in the morning, while another was seriously injured in an armed attack in Hebron.
On that day the Israeli military injured eight Palestinians with live ammunition when the military stormed Palestinian cities to pursue the perpetrators of the Huwara attack.
Hebron was activityless when Israeli forces imposed strict measures such as closing all entrances and exits to the city along with the establishment of military checkpoints.
