KCIC Together With The Ministry Of Transportation Conducted The First Trial Of The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train Facilities
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) continues to make preparations ahead of the operation of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train (KCJB). Currently, all high-speed train facilities are entering the first test phase by the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation.
For your information, this first test was carried out in order to obtain a permit for the operation of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB).
KCIC Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, said this high-speed train is a new mode of transportation in Indonesia that uses new high-tech technology that has never been implemented in Indonesia.
Such as operating speeds of up to 350 km/h, GSM-R communication systems, different operating systems, and others. All these aspects need to be prepared properly according to applicable regulations," said Eva, in Jakarta, Friday, August 18.
Therefore, said Eva, the certification process is part of what must be met according to the rules to test the reliability of the train series that will be operated later.
Eva said the First Test of Fast Train refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of High Speed Trains.

The testing has several stages including Statistical Tests which include dimensions, weight, electricity, and others as well as Dynamical Tests which include braking tests, temperature checking, reliability conditions and facilities comfort when run and various other aspects.
KCIC has 12 Fast Train Series with details of 11 series of Passenger Trains and 1 series of Inspection Trains. Currently, the entire series is being tested to ensure that the operation of the Fast Train can run safely and comfortably.
"Since July 2023, the process of certifying Fast Train facilities and infrastructure has been running. KCIC together with the DJKA Railway Testing Center ensures that the Fast Train will operate safely and comfortably according to the established standards," he said.
