Jokowi Says Infrastructure Budget Reaches IDR 422.7 Trillion In The 2024 RAPBN
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the budget allocated for infrastructure reached Rp422.7 trillion from the draft state revenue and expenditure budget (RAPBN) 2024.
"To encourage productivity, mobility and connectivity, as well as equitable equity, the infrastructure budget is allocated Rp422.7 trillion," Jokowi said at the DPR Plenary Session on Wednesday, August 16.
Jokowi said that the budget allocation would be directed at strengthening supply, basic services, increasing productivity through connectivity and mobility infrastructure, improving irrigation networks through dam construction, primary irrigation channels, secondary, and tertiary.
Then, for the provision of infrastructure in the fields of energy and food that is affordable, reliable, and sustainable, as well as equitable access to information and communication technology.

The head of state added that the acceleration of infrastructure development was pursued by the mix of funding schemes, through synergies in terms of investment financing and spending on ministries/agencies, as well as increasing private roles.
"For this reason, the government continues to encourage the development of a more massive and sustainable cooperation scheme for the government and business entities," said Jokowi.

Meanwhile, President Jokowi revealed that the 2024 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN) targets economic growth of 5.2 percent.
This amount tends to be conservative from the figures discussed in the RAPBN predecessor talks between the Ministry of Finance and the previous DPR's Budget Agency (Banggar), which amounted to 5.1 percent.
"Economic growth in 2024 is estimated at 5.2 percent," he said.
