President Jokowi Confirms 76 Paskibraka Members 2023
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo confirmed 76 members of the Heritage Flag-raising Troop (Paskibraka) who will serve at the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, August 17, 2023."By requesting the pleasure of Allah Almighty, today I inaugurate you as the Heritage Flag-raising Troops who will serve at the Merdeka Palace on August 17, 2023. May God Almighty give grace and ease in the duties of the state,” Jokowi said at the Paskibraka Inauguration Ceremony at the State Palace, Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, August 15.During the ceremony, President Jokowi acted as a coach, while the leader of the ceremony was a member of Paskibraka 2023 named Kachina Ozora who came from Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.The ceremony began with the reading of the National Paskibraka Indonesian Men's Pledge by the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Yudian Wahyudi which was attended by all Paskibraka members.The Pledge, among others, confirms that Paskibraka as the son of Indonesia admits that he has one and one nation, Indonesia.Paskibraka also admitted to being one state, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, and admitted that he was enthusiastic and had one ideology, Pancasila.Then, Paskibraka members admitted that they aim to create a just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and recognize diversity in the unity of the nation's culture.As the nation's next generation, they promised to continue Indonesia's great struggle for independence with God's pleasure."Based on this recognition and for my honor as a national cadre, I promise to seriously carry out my obligation to practice all of this recognition in my daily work. May God Almighty bless my intention with His taufik andhidayah," said Paskibraka members.Furthermore, the leader of the ceremony representing Paskibraka members kissed the Red and White flag accompanied by the song Badminton Negeri and continued with the symbolic embedding of the badge by President Jokowi to the ceremonial leader.The inauguration ceremony closed with the national anthem Indonesia Raya, before being disbanded and continued amicably.
The 2023 Paskibraka inauguration event was also attended by First Lady Iriana Jokowi, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Mrs. Wury Estu Handayani, Coordinating Minister for PMK Muhadjir Effendy, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono, and Chairman of the BPIP Council Megawati Soekarnoputri.
