Kominfo Still In Discussion With The AGO On The Sustainability Of The 4G BTS Project
Fadillah Mathar was officially appointed as President Director of the Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) Kominfo, by the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi on Monday, August 14 in Jakarta.
As the new Director of BAKTI, Fadillah has PR to restore the trust of all stakeholders and the public in BAKTI's performance, after the previous 4G BTS project corruption case.
Stages Of Discussion With The Attorney General's Office
Kominfo admitted that they are currently still in the discussion stage with the Attorney General's Office regarding the BTS 4G Kominfo project, which is targeted to be completed this year.
"Yes, the President Director has just received the task of continuing the construction of BTS. And regarding the continuation, we are in discussion with the Attorney General's Office. There is already a small team that will later develop a scheme related to how BTS is built, and how it will continue, I see." said Director General of IKP Kominfo Usman Kansong when contacted by VOI after the inauguration ceremony of the new President Director of Kominfo.

Because according to him, there are still legal cases that are currently underway. So, discussions held to discuss the sustainability of the project, vendors to be used, and the costs used are still in the discussion process.
"So we'll see what the results of the discussion from this small team will look like, what the decision will be or how to continue it will be decided later, and will then be carried out by the new Director of BAKTI," he added.
"Not yet... not yet..., still being discussed (the 4G BTS vendor). Yes, it is still being discussed by a small team between Kominfo and the Attorney General's Office. So that later we will not be wrong legally," said Usman.
