Fire In Dieng Tourism Area Successfully Extinguished
PURWOKERTO - A joint officer consisting of personnel from the Dieng Tourism Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), Perhutani, and the Forest Village Community Institute (LMDH) succeeded in extinguishing land fires in the area around the Sikidang Crater, Dieng Plateau, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java.Head of UPT Wisata Dieng Sri Utami said the fire had been handled by a team from Perhutani and LMDH. "Alhamdulillah, the hotspot was already dead. Earlier, it was immediately handled by a team from Perhutani and LMDH," Sri was quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, August 13. Meanwhile, Dieng Tourism Supervisor Perum Perhutani Forestry Forestry Unit (KPH) East Banyumas Eru Irianto said the burned land area was about 20 square meters. According to him, on the burned land there were only bushes and grass and directly handled by personnel from UPT Dieng with LMDH and Perhutani. "The possibility of a fire occurred due to cigarette butts. There may have been tourists who accidentally threw cigarette butts," he said. Related to this, he appealed to the public to comply with the ban on smoking and make fires around the Sikidang Crater as stated on the information board at the entrance counter of the tourist object. One of the tourists from Purwokerto, Ali Rokhman said the fire around the Sikidang Crater occurred on Sunday (13/8), at around 13.20 WIB. He immediately recorded the fire incident video and sent it to the WhatsApp group "Info & Disaster Management" managed by the Banyumas Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) at 13.25 WIB.
