Persebaya Surabaya Wins First At Home, Department Of Analysis Holds The Role
SURABAYA - Caretaker of Persebaya Surabaya, Uston Nawawi, said that the analysis department's intervention behind his team's success won over Persita Tangerang at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Saturday, August 12.
The evaluation of the team assisted by the analysis department allowed the coach to develop an accurate strategy. One of them is Sho Yamamoto's position which helped his team win 1-0 against Persita through his only goal.
"We have an evaluation, assisted by the analysis department as well, so we can know our shortcomings and strengths, and vice versa with the condition of the opposing team," he said during a press conference after the match at the Surabaya GBT Stadium, Saturday night.
In addition, Uston Nawawi also praised Sho. He considered that the Japanese player had the motivation to always play better and help the team win.
"Sho wants to show that he's a good player, he wants to play as well as possible and help the team to win," he said.
This, he continued, was also conveyed to the players in the dressing room to always instill a mentality to win.
"I say, it's not that you have to win but whether you want to win or not, so you have to fight first, if you win later, you don't know, the most important thing is that I emphasize everything to fight, both players on the field and substitutes," he said, as reported by Antara.
The former Persebaya player then appreciated his team who had struggled to win the match.
"I am very grateful because these are the first three points at home and also get the first clean sheet as well, of course I really appreciate the performance of the players and all the official teams as well," he said.

Meanwhile, Persebaya player Andre Oktaviansyah also expressed his gratitude for the first three points at home.
"Alhamdulillah, I first said, because we have got the first three points at home and I also want to thank my friends who have fought on the field, with our hard work we were finally able to score goals," he said.
In addition, with not many supporters present, he is aware of the attitude of the supporters who are disappointed with the poor results.
"Maybe yesterday our condition was not good, so the audience was a little disappointed, we were aware as players, and Alhamdulillah, this is starting to get better a little bit," he said.
Therefore, with this victory, he hopes that Bonek supporters can support and fill the stadium again to lift the mentality of the players.
"I hope that in the future there may be more, to make friends mentally good again," he said.
